Matt leads the design and the client journey. Stephen runs construction. Together they bring three decades of Victorian residential building experience to every project.

Matt co-founded Small Homes Victoria to deliver high-end second homes under Victoria's streamlined dwelling rules. He brings a Property and Real Estate degree from Deakin and six years on luxury residential builds across Melbourne.
Co-founder and Construction Lead
Stephen leads construction at Small Homes Victoria, drawing on 20+ years as a registered builder and 100+ high-end residential projects across Melbourne. His problem-solving instinct helps him spot site opportunities and risks others often miss.
What we stand for
An architect leads every design conversation. Small footprints do not mean small thinking; the proportions, light, and detailing are considered the same way they would be on a full-size home.
Construction stays in house. Our trades have built every small home we have delivered, so the quality you see on the showroom day is the quality you live with at handover.
We publish a written fixed-price contract before site works start. Variations are quoted and signed off separately so the project budget never quietly drifts.
Every home is engineered to Victorian conditions and Victorian planning rules. Local trades, local materials, and a design language that belongs on a Victorian block.
